About RS9 IPL

Learn how the independent RS9 IPL editorial desk selects, sources, updates and corrects IPL news.

RS9 IPL is an independent editorial desk covering IPL news and stories from around the tournament. We are not the IPL, BCCI, ICC, a team, or an official app support desk.

What we cover

  • On-field moments, players and team news.
  • Historical moments that still shape the league.
  • Off-field stories that matter to IPL followers.

How we report

We prefer official competition, board, team and court records as primary sources. Reputable newsrooms are used when they hold the original reporting. Published stories show their author, publication date, event date and source links so readers can check the evidence.

Read the evidence label

  • Verified against retained sources: the attributed report or post has been checked against the linked evidence. This does not mean every opinion or prediction in it is an officially confirmed event.
  • Developing — evidence may change: the available evidence is incomplete or the story is still moving. Read the attribution and source before drawing a conclusion.
  • Rumour watch — not confirmed: an attributed claim that remains unconfirmed. Examples include a possible trade, captain or coach change. The label does not confirm an appointment, transaction or other event.
  • Fan view: opinion, debate or interpretation. A direct X post can document the discussion; it does not establish the opinion as fact.

Check a story in three steps

  1. Read the label: distinguish a report, fan view and unconfirmed claim before using the headline.
  2. Check the dates: compare the event or discussion date with the latest editorial update.
  3. Open the evidence: use Retained sources in the source-led update timeline, then follow the story to its source links. Opinion and rumour articles use Discussion links.

Image credits explain reuse rights; they do not confirm the news claim. For another story, browse NEWS by Hot News, Match Stories, Teams or Off-field.

Dates, corrections and updates

The event date identifies the event or discussion being covered; for a rumour, it does not mean the proposed move happened. Published is when our story first appeared; Updated records a material editorial change. A routine update is not automatically a correction. The timeline shows a Correction log separately; No correction recorded means the record has no correction entry, not that the story cannot contain an error.

To report an error, email rs9support@email.com with the page URL, the statement to review and a direct evidence link.

Commercial links

The site retains an RS9 App download link and may link to other external products. Those links are separate from editorial selection and do not make RS9 IPL an official representative of those products.
